METHODS AND STYLES

Printing Types

Diving into the different types of printing methods for your invitation set can be a bit overwhelming. There's so much to be said about choosing the right type of printing method that reflects your style and the type of invitation set you want to portray to your guest's. With knowing all the ins and outs of the different types of printing methods, we've selected the best types to offer to our couples.

DIGITAL FLAT PRINTING

Digital printing is one of the most common forms of printing. It is a flat style of printing that yields crisp, solid forms. Each invitation takes less time to print and is the most affordable type of printing method we offer.

LETTERPRESS PRINTING

Letterpress is the pressing process that transfers the ink and leaves a deep impression on the paper. The text or design is pressed into the paper which results in a stunning, indented image. Because each piece is treated independently, the price of letterpress is higher than digital flat printing.

Foil Stamping is the process of adhering a thin metallic foil to areas of printed material, giving your final pieces a metallic finish.

COMBINATION PRINTING

While using just a single style of printing is common, combining two different types of printing styles has become a popular option with our couples. Why have just one style when you can have the best of both worlds?

We make the beauty of combining different printing methods, simple and fun.

DIGITAL FLAT & LETTERPRESS

Any type of graphic/illustration that includes a lot of color, needs to be printed in digital print. If you want to include a watercolor graphic/illustration like the floral illustration shown on this invitation, it needs to be printed in digital print. Then the rest of the text can be printed in letterpress, as shown on this invitation.

[for this invitation: the florals are digitally printed and all the text is printed in letterpress]

DIGITAL FLAT & FOIL

Any type of graphic/illustration that includes a lot of color, needs to be printed in digital print. If you want to include a watercolor graphic/illustration like the floral illustration shown on this invitation, it needs to be printed in digital print. Then the rest of the text can be printed in foil, as shown on this invitation.

[for this invitation: the florals are digitally printed and the names are printed in foil]

Combining letterpress and foil printing is a beautiful combination of printing. For this invitation, the bride & groom names and the monogram are printed in foil and the remaining text is printed in letterpress.
