Hi Friends ! I'm Jessica, owner + creative spirit behind all these custom wedding invitations, here on Long Island, New York. I also have an amazing team behind me that helps with the daily tasks to run Whimsy B. Paperie smoothly, and get our beautiful paper goods to our couples with lots of love.
I started Whimsy B. Paperie 5 years ago and it's been one heck of a journey ! Blood, sweat and tears have gone into this business of mine and I cherish all the milestones that have led me to where I am in my business today.
Sometimes along the way, your business may need a little brand refresh - and that's ok ! After 5 years, I looked back at some of my current designs and really looked hard at my overall brand. That's when I realized, it was about that time for my business. I didn't feel my brand and my current designs reflected who I was as a person anymore. So I got to working - working on a new brand that reflected who I am as person now. Since my style changed from when I started this business 5 years ago, so did my ideal client. So this past January, the brand refresh for Whimsy B. Paperie began full force. I got to working on a new brand colors, logo and website. But I didn't just stop there - I redid all of our branding and marketing materials to be consistent throughout our new brand. I decided to go with dusty blue and white for my new brand colors. A more whimsical logo was in store because well, it's in the business name ! I also decided to get new business cards on dusty blue, handmade, hand-torn paper with white and gold foil printing.
There are 3 C's of business branding - clear + concise + cohesive. Having an established concise brand is key - it's the identity of your business and it matters. I'm not just talking about a cute logo - they're pretty fun and all and it's necessary to have a good one, but you need to delve in a little further than just a new logo. I'm talking about the whole package ! It's the thought out, carefully curated details that bring a cohesiveness to your brand -- you've already got the talent down, why stop there? Follow it through, allocate funds and invest in your business - you'll thank yourself later for it. Being consistent with your brand is so important to your business. Being consistent with the fonts, colors and overall brand aesthetic.
